JOB DESCRIPTION

A well reputed school based in Rajasthan is looking for a passionate music teacher.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Should have experience of:

Teaching classes IV to XII

Teach music courses to students including voice, tone, tempo and rhythm skills.

Train, rehearse and lead students in school.

Conduct music classes according to the designated syllabus.

Develop and maintain an effective music educational program for students.

Schedule daily classes to instruct and rehearse within the assigned time.

Understand potentials and skills of each student and guide individual student according to their skills.

Evaluate student performance and provide feedback and assistance to improve their musical skills.

Maintain lesson plans and instructional materials for students.

Recommend maintenance and repairs for musical instruments when necessary.

Maintain student behavioral standards to ensure productive and disciplined environment during group rehearsals, practices, and performances.

Collaborate with school administration to organize musical programs for school functions and mega productions.

Monitor students in and out of the classrooms.

Maintain safe and positive learning environment for students.

Participate in curriculum development programs, student activities and faculty committees.

Attend educational workshops, trainings and professional improvement programs to maintain professional competence.

Maintain student grading and attendance records.

Evaluate student progress and ensure that students complete daily assignments.

Candidates must have qualification in Music from a reputed college of Music. Must be proficient in Vocal music and have expertise in at least two instruments.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

Five years study in Music institution recognized by the concerned State Govt. as equivalent to Graduate/Post Graduate Degree.

OR

A Bachelor’s Degree with Music from a recognized university and B.Ed.

OR

Higher Secondary/Sr.Secondary with any one of the following: Sangeet-Visharad examination of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Bombay or Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyalaypeeth, Lucknow or Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwa Vidyalaya, Khairagarh (MP) or Sangeet Prabhakar examination of the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad.

OR

Following Degree/Diploma awarded by Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh: (a) Sangeet Bhaskar with Graduation in any discipline. (b) Sangeet Nritya Bhushan with graduation in any discipline. (c) Sangeet Bhushan or Sangeet Nritya Visharad with Sr.Secondary/Intermediate/Part-I examination of 3 years Degree Course.
